Your FitnessOnDemand calendar can be shared in a number of different ways. Go to the Schedules tab and you will see four options on the top-right.
This sharing option will allow you to print your FitnessOnDemand calendar to post it at your facility. You will be able to print exactly what you see on your screen, so first select the duration that you would like to print (Month, Week, Day, or Agenda).
If you have multiple virtual or live zones in your facility you can print them all on the same schedule if you would like. Choose up to three zones in the drop-down at the top of your screen to view the zones on the same schedule, and press the print icon.
- Link
The link share will provide you with an iCal URL or a public calendar URL for a single zone's calendar.
Public Calendar URL
The public calendar is a webpage containing your schedule that can be viewed in any web browser by your end-users. The user can view the Monthly, Weekly, Daily, and Agenda views of your calendar. To get the public calendar URL, click the Link icon and click your zone name. The public calendar will open in a new tab, and you can copy the URL from your browser's address bar to share.
End-users can use the public calendar to RSVP for events. Reservations can be made from either the public calendar or from the FOD mobile app. More info on Reservations can be found here.
iCal URL
An iCal URL can be added to your favorite personal calendar app. The advantage of using the iCal URL is your calendar will automatically sync. If you add/remove calendar events to your FitnessOnDemand calendar those changes will automatically be reflected everywhere you have used your iCal URL.
To obtain the link, select the zone that you would like to use in the drop-down at the top of the screen. Click the link icon on the top-right and click on the calendar icon that appears. This will copy the link to your clipboard. Paste that link in the appropriate location in your calendar app. Below are links to documentation for using the iCal URL with a few popular calendar apps.
You can also use the iCal URL to embed your schedule on your website. Please consult your website building software or web developer to embed the calendar.
- Download
The download option will provide an ics file for all of the currently selected zones. The ics file can then be imported into any supported calendar app. As opposed to the iCal URL provided by the Link option above, the ics file provides a snapshot of your currently scheduled events and does not sync. The ics file does not update with any future changes to your FitnessOnDemand schedule. You can find instructions for using the downloaded ics file with a few apps below.
- Social Share
This option will allow you to share your calendar with your patrons via Twitter, Facebook, or via email. You can share up to three zones at a time, so first, select the zones you would like to include in your post in the drop-down at the top of your screen. Click the Share icon and select the platform that you would like to use to share your calendar. The post or email will include the Public Calendar links for the zones that you selected. Your patrons can follow the links that you share to view your schedules.
Mobile App
Your calendar is automatically available within the FitnessOnDemand mobile app. You can direct your patrons to the Apple App Store/Google Play Store, or to mobile.fod247.fitness, to download the app. When using your app within range of your Group5 iPad kiosk the app will automatically find your location and show your schedule. Outside of your facility, your patrons can search for your location based on nearby facilities or by zip code to view your schedule.
FLEX Portal
Your zone schedule will appear within the Schedule tab in the FLEX portal. Any of your FLEX users who sign in to the portal will see your zone schedule automatically. They also see your schedule by default within the mobile app.
