Kiosk Screen Orientation

The iPad is designed to be installed in landscape (horizontal). The FitnessOnDemand kiosk app will NOT adjust to a profile view.

Screen Upside Down

In some cases, if the iPad is powered off it may have the display set upside down when it is turned back on. One of the following steps should resolve the issue.

Reboot the iPad

A quick reboot should allow the iPad orientation to fix itself.

1. Tap Admin on the top-right
2. Enter the passcode (This is a 4-digit passcode. Please reach out to support if you do not know the admin passcode.)
3. Once in the admin section of the app, press the home button on the iPad to go to the iPad's home screen
4. Tap Settings
5. Go to General >> Accessibility >> AssistiveTouch
6. Enable AssistiveTouch and you should see a new circular icon appear somewhere on the edge of your screen
7. Press the circular icon and go to Device >> More >> Restart

Note: After the iPad reboots, it is important to turn AssistiveTouch off again to prevent users from accessing the iPad's settings from the FOD app.

1. Tap Admin on the top-right
2. Enter the passcode(This is a 4-digit passcode. Please reach out to support if you do not know the admin passcode.) 
3. Once in the admin section of the app, press the home button on the iPad to go to the iPad's home screen
4. Tap Settings
5. Go to General >> Accessibility >> AssistiveTouch
6. Disable AssistiveTouch
7. Press the iPad's home button and launch the FOD app

If you have any trouble rebooting the iPad, please reach out to our technical support team. As long as the iPad is connected to the internet we can reboot it remotely.

Unlock Screen Rotation

If the screen orientation is still off after a reboot, the screen rotation may be locked.

1. Tap Admin on the top-right
2. Enter the passcode(This is a 4-digit passcode. Please reach out to support if you do not know the admin passcode.) 
3. Once in the admin section of the app, press the home button on the iPad to go to the iPad's home screen
4. Drag down for the time displayed on the top-right
5. Tab the lock icon to unlock the screen rotation
6. Launch the FOD app
