The remote included in your Fitness On Demand kit is used to control the Media Hub that is connected directly to your TV or projector. The remote uses an IR signal, so it will need a direct line of sight to the media hub. The remote is primarily used to adjust settings on the media hub and to assist in troubleshooting. Your end-users will control the Fitness On Demand system exclusively from the iPad kiosk or their mobile devices, so the remote is only designed to be used by those who are managing your Fitness On Demand system.
Common Uses of the Remote
Restarting your Media Hub
Hold down the Power button on the remote. Use the directional arrows to select "Reboot" and hit OK on the remote.
Checking Internet Speed
At any time while running the Fitness On Demand app (when you see the FOD logo or during a video) you can hit the Menu button. This will bring up the Configuration overlay where you can see details about the app and your current internet speed. To recheck your speed, use the directional arrows to select "Reset Bandwidth" and hit the OK button on the remote.
Adjusting Device Settings
The media hub runs a version of the Android Operating System. Using the remote, you can access some of the Android settings when needed. Hit the Home button to exit the FOD app and view the device's home screen. Use the directional arrows to highlight the gear icon and hit OK on the remote. You can use the settings here to adjust the volume, screen brightness, etc. To return to the FOD app, hit the Home button again, use the directional arrows to select the FOD logo and press OK.
