Building and designing your own custom workout routine has never been easier thanks to the Flex app. Now from the Fitness tab you can select "My Custom Workouts" to build and view your personal workouts designed by your best trainer: you!
Once in the My Custom Workout tab, you can tap on Create Custom Workout or the Plus icon in the upper right hand corner to build your new workout.
When Creating your new workout, you will be able to upload a thumbnail of your choosing, select a title and description for your workout, and add exercises to your workout.
Once the workout has been saved, you are able to view and make adjustments and needed, including adding exercises to supersets, viewing exercise instructions, viewing your progress over time with an exercise, and changing the logging settings for an exercise. You can also view recommended replacements for an exercise if you would like to change up the workout for the day!
Below you can see an example of an exercise instructional page which includes an instructional video as well as step by step written instructions with helpful tips and guides. Also below is an example of what it looks like in the exercise logging settings page. You can view the type of exercise, the weight or distance measurement settings, your personal best, and your 1-rep max.
When completing your workout, you will enter your weight or distance completed as well as reps completed. You can also add sets to an exercise easily by clicking the "Add Set" button below an exercise. When you have completed the reps, simply click the check mark next the the reps and the set will turn green letting you know it has been completed.
Once you are ready to finish your workout, simply click on "Finish Workout" at the bottom of the workout screen. A pop up will appear and ask if you want to complete the current workout. Any sets that have not been marked green and complete as in the previous step will be marked as incomplete and will be erased from the workout log for this workout. Don't worry, you can always click "Continue Workout" if you forgot to mark something as completed.
Once you have completed the workout you will see the screen below saying Workout Complete! A summary will display with your accomplishments from this workout and a quick celebration of your accomplishments from the workout. You can continue to track you personal log history of exercises and workouts from the Fitness tab in the Flex App at anytime to ensure the best outcome for goal tracking of personal bests.
