FLEX is able to be used with some smart devices to play videos on your TV in addition to your mobile device and web browser.
Chromecast
The FOD Android app and web portal can be used to cast a video to a Chromecast, Android TV, or any other Chromecast enabled display.
Android FOD App
In order to cast with an Android mobile device, first, make sure that your device is connected to the same network as your Chromecast. Once there is an available Chromecast device on your network, you will see the Chromecast icon on the top-right of the FOD app. Select the icon and choose the device you would like to cast to. Once the Chromecast logo is filled in you are ready to cast. Choose a video and it will start streaming on your TV.
Note: At this time, putting your phone to sleep or backgrounding the app will pause the video on your Chromecast. In order to put your phone to sleep, press the home button to background the app and then resume the playback through the controls in your notifications bar.
Chrome Browser
The Chrome web browser has a built-in Chromecast mirror feature. Make sure that your computer is connected to the same network as your Chromecast device. You can find step-by-step instructions here to cast your tab,
Airplay
The FOD iOS app and web portal can be casted to any Airplay enabled device, such as an Apple TV or a Smart TV with Airplay.
FOD iOS App
First, make sure your iOS device is connected to the same network as your Airplay receiver. Launch the FOD app and select the video that you would like to cast. Select the Airplay logo on the bottom-left. Choose your Airplay device to start playing your video on your TV.
Safari
First, connect your computer to the same network as your Airplay device. Start a video from the FOD FLEX web portal in Safari on a Mac. Select the Airplay logo in the video player and select the device that you would like to cast to. You can find instructions from Apple here.
