User Documentation: GBeat Watch App Integration with Fitness On Demand (FOD)
The GBeat watch app now integrates seamlessly with the Fitness On Demand (FOD) app on your mobile device. This integration allows the FOD app to access vital fitness data, such as heart rate and calories burned, to enhance your workout experience. Follow the steps below to ensure smooth integration and usage.
Getting Started
- Ensure that the watch app is installed on your watch.
-
On iOS, make sure the app is enabled in the Watch app settings. Look for the FOD app logo on your device.
- Once installed, proceed to the next step.
-
- Grant Permissions to Fitness On Demand:
- The FOD app needs permission to access your health data on your iPhone.
- Open the FOD app and you will be prompted to accept permissions. These can also be enabled manually in your health app
-
Allow the app to access the following data from your Health app:
- Active Energy
- Date of Birth

Geofence Activation
- The integration will only work within your facility's geofence. When you enter your facility’s designated geofenced area, the app will automatically recognize your location.
- Upon opening the FOD app within the geofence, you will see a greeting message prompting you to connect to the watch app.
Starting a Workout
- Once the watch app is connected, you will see a Start Workout button on your smartwatch. Tap the button to begin tracking your workout.
-
The watch app will sync data in real time. On the Facility Display, your heart rate and calories burned will be shown during your workout. The organization of the tiles on the display will adjust based on the content being played. Here are a few examples:
